Modern Hygienist whole living - Body + soul. From the publishers of Martha Stewart Living Highways magazine Las Vegas Sun - World Tea Expo Roast Magazine Review from Jay Brewer editor of www.Singleservecoffee.com Java Wand - The Single Serve Coffee French Press We've spent over two weeks with the Java Wand. What is a Java Wand? For us, it's basically a mini-french press on the end of a large glass straw. You can take your Java Wand just about anywhere, as it comes with a travel case that holds the want and 2 tablespoons of coffee. We didn't travel that far with our Java Wand, but we did have some really amazing coffee using it. The Java Wand is also not a single serve coffee maker per se, but it is a very nice alternative to making a cup of single serve coffee from a machine. The Java Wand is also very transformational in how it makes you sit back and relax a bit more with your coffee. So as you can see - we do like the Java Wand...but do we like the entire experience of drinking hot coffee through a glass straw? The Java Wand comes packed in a tube you can use for storing or taking the Java Wand places. The carry case holds enough coffee for a large 12 oz cup of coffee. The Java Wand is a pretty ingenious little device. The morning we first used the Java Wand, we didn't think it would work, but we found out it does. You simply pick your favorite ground coffee or grind some whole bean coffee to a french press grind, and then pour hot water into the cup with the grounds. They recommend 2 tablespoons of coffee, and we agree this is the right amount. You then slide the Java Wand into the cup and take a sip. We really thought this was where we were going to be wincing in pain from hot searing coffee, but it didn't happen. Instead the coffee was pretty darn smooth and good. You'll also want to stir up the brew a bit and make sure you have a good mix. The coffee was very "french press" in nature, and we were surprised how much we liked it. The end of a Java Wand is a little filter like french press. The filter keeps out the grounds and allows you to sip straight coffee. Drinking Coffee with a Java Wand is Different. The big surprise is how different it is to drink coffee this way. You are really confronted with kicking back and enjoying the cup of Java Wand single serve coffee, instead of doing anything else. We also recommend a larger taller mug. A short mug won't hold the Java Wand single serve coffee french press glass straw very well. Just for comparison, we brewed up a pot of coffee in our french press pot and the results were similar. Also - clean up is a breeze with the Java Wand. You simply wash it out with a little hot water, remove the end and do the same and you're done. You can sit the pieces on a towel or in the dish rack to dry, or store them away in your Java Wand case. Conclusions - This is one of those wild Single Serve Coffee moments when we can't believe how much we liked such a wild and weird device, but we do. The Java Wand is an excellent alternative to your everyday coffee experience, and an experience all it's own. We love the ability to sit back and sip a cup of single serve coffee from a french press glass straw. If you're looking for something truly new and exciting, pick up a Java Wand. The Java Wand is only $19.99 and well worth the investment. What Our Clients Are Saying . . . "Boy, you guys are FAST. I received my "straws" yesterday and they are even better than I imagined. I am leaving on a trip to Greece soon and will be taking one along (that is why I bought 2). I have been telling all my tea drinking friends about them, and I printed out your web page and took it to my dentist and to a local kitchen wares shop - expect more orders from Aptos and San Clemente. Loose tea has always been a pain for me because my herbalist doesn't want me to use anything metal when making my tea. So I have been sending to France for tea socks which work fine. But this straw of yours did a perfect job with the loose tea just floating in my cup. So much easier! No more tea socks for me. I am one happy, happy customer. Thank you so much." Gay Ann Morrisette "Just want you to know how much I have been enjoying my Health Tea Wand! I know the health benefits tea can have and loose tea leaves heighten the teas effects. So often I would brew a whole pot of tea and would get home from the office in the evening only to leave half of it in the pot. because I was unable to finish it or I would sacrifice the flavor by using a tea ball or even worse a tea bag. With the Tea Wand I can brew one terrific cup at a time without waste or sacrificing the flavor or the health benefits. How the wand infusion process works I may never understand, but the tea taste is so much better when I use it, Thanks for your invention and for making tea time easier and more flavorful." Dr. Gary Schaaf www.performingedge.com "From my first drink using the Health Tea Wand I was totally amazed. " Said Cheryl Lewis of Bellaonline. "It was the best cup of chamomile tea I've ever had! I could really taste the natural sweetness of the chamomile." www.bellaonline.com "We do think that the wand works best with herbal infusions or tisanes. All in all, the Health Tea Wand is a great gift for yourself or the tea lovers in your life.
